The IFAK QF-002M is one of Rhino Rescue's most popular tactical first aid kits, and it comes in three finishes (Black/B, Multicam/MC, and Green/G) that consistently raise the same question: are they just a color change, or is there any real difference?
What remains unchanged across all three
The trauma contents are identical in all three finishes: tourniquet, hemostatic gauze, and compression bandage, mounted in the same quick-release MOLLE pouch. The choice between B, MC, and G does not affect what you carry inside, but rather where and how you carry it.
QF-002M Black (B): the all-rounder option
Black is the most versatile option: it doesn't visually clash with work uniforms, street clothes, or car interiors. It's the default choice if you're going to carry the kit in civilian or professional contexts (security, corporate first aid), or simply if you don't want to think about whether it matches the rest of your gear.
QF-002M Multicam (MC): camouflage for mixed environments
The Multicam pattern is designed to work in a variety of environments; it's not a pure woodland or pure desert camouflage. It makes sense if your primary gear (backpack, vest) already uses Multicam and you want the IFAK to match, or if you move between different environments (mountain, urban, vehicle) without a clear dominant pattern.
QF-002M Green (G): mountain, forest, hunting
Solid green works best in environments with dense, consistent vegetation (hiking, hunting, forestry activities) where you don't need a complex camouflage pattern, just for the kit not to stand out against the environment.
